11 Inspiring Movies you MUST watch!
Movies are the only source of storytelling and fantasy that I enjoy being a predominantly non-fiction reader. I find movies can be one of the most powerful ways to inspire myself on days when I feel less motivated.
I’ve selected the following list of films, not based on action, special effect or even the actors, but based on the level in which they inspire me after I have finished watching them.
I’ve included the movie title, the actor or actress that I feel played the most powerful character in the movie, and also a teaser tagline I’ve written as a teaser to the film.
In no particular order;
Jerry Maguire
Stand out Actor/Actress: Tom Cruise
Tagline: Always be true to yourself and follow what you believe in
Seven Pounds
Stand out Actor/Actress: Will Smith
Tagline: Seven Names. Seven Strangers. One Secret. Giving without expecting anything in return can change peoples lives.
Patch Adams
Stand out Actor/Actress: Robin Williams
Tagline: Laughter is contagious.
Family Man
Stand out Actor/Actress: Nicolas Cage
Tagline: What if you made different choices? What if you got a second chance?
The Pursuit of Happyness
Stand out Actor/Actress: Will Smith
Tagline: How drive and ambition can change your world. Inspired by the true story of Chris Gardner
Yes Man
Stand out Actor/Actress: Jim Carrey
Tagline: One word can change everything.
Man of the Year
Stand out Actor/Actress: Robin Williams
Tagline: Be careful what you wish for!
25th Hour

Do you agree? Have you seen all the films on the list? Do you know of anymore that should be on this list? What messages did you get from these films? Feel free to leave your comments below this post (on the site for those of you reading this in an email)
Love Seven Pounds and Pursuit of Happyness. Always wanted to watch The Bucket List but never got round to it! I think Yes Man is the most inspirational film on the list for me. What a great way to live your life!
Love Love Love it! These are up the top of the list of my fav. movies. I created a website a while ago listing great inspiring books to read and have just created a page for inspiring movies. Have been searching online for some of them and found your blog. Thanks for reminding me of a few I had forgotten about, which I am now about to add.

Fantastic List!! Haven’t seen 25th Hour but will do now, Mr Norton is a great actor.
When Robin Williams gives the speech to Matt Damon about just reading & not living in ‘Good Will Hunting’ that was a big wake up call to me to stop procrastinating & start doing!!
Books & education are great tools but most importantly experience & mistakes are life
Appreciation & people will always be on the road to success….
I would like to make a recommendation of ‘Rocky’ just for the back story of Sly….
Tony Robbins tells the Rocky story:
