Video: Achieving dreams with Randy Pausch
An incredibly inspiring ‘must-see’ lecture. Professor Randy Pausch’s last lecture before he died (1960 – 2008) takes you through how to achieve your dream. Using his own experiences as examples of his theories and techniques. Very powerful ending!
Here are some of my favorite quotes from the lecture.
“…you don’t know where the bar should be and you are only going to do a miss service by putting it anywhere.”
“Bosses: Respect authority while questioning it”
“You can’t get there alone”
“Apologize when you screw up”
“Brick walls let us show our dedication. They are to separate us from the people who don’t want to achieve…”
“Don’t complain just work harder”
“Be good at something: it makes you valuable”
“Luck is where preparation meets opportunity”
Life is too short!
Everyone should be living their lives to the fullest, striving for the best that they can be. The reason why the words this video clip is so moving and inspirational is because we can actually comprehend how long Professor Randy Pausch has left to live. For many of us we are fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to not know how long we have to live. Some hope that (and some act as though) it is infinite.
With the fear of sounding morbid, we all have a finite time on this earth. Truly make the most of life. Have passion, strive to dream and achieve as much as possible… NOW!
What a man Randy Pausch was!
This is one of the most inspirational videos I have ever seen, certainly makes you look at life in a different light. Keep these videos coming
Yeah totally agree Ben! Checkout the following link to a speech he made after the lecture in the video on this post. Another great inspirational speech. You can only really put it in context after watching the above video though as you will see…

LOVE LOVE LOVE this video. What a person he was! Would have been amazing to be at that lecture…
Glad you like! And welcome to my site. Thanks for commenting!! I have some more clips of Randy to add but they are based more on life hacking and optimising your time. This by far is the most inspirational… go on there was a tear in your eye at the end right

In summary Ambition To Succeed.com is a place that collates a wealth of ideas, inspirations and resource material for people that are ambitious for success in life.
However effectively this is a journal / scrapbook for my journey to success.
I have recently turned 30 years of age and for a number of years I’ve been on a quest researching ‘successful’ people and techniques for achieving success. I’ve read lots (and lots!) of books, watched loads of videos, of which many have inspired me in a number of ways.
So about me… Don’t get me wrong, I have had a great start to life – loving and encouraging parents, a fantastic circle of friends, I’ve been educated at a top level and gained management level employment earning good money… BUT…. That just it there was always a but!
For a long time I’ve been thinking ‘there must be something more’, am I wrong for wanting more out of life? Are things that bad? Of course they are not bad… but something, an indescribable burning drive for achieving something more in life.
